I saw Jason last winter and he had battled with cancer for a long time. He lost a lot of weight, and was doing well then the cancer came back. I guess that the battle with it was lost. Jason was a great guy to know and I will miss him.

.... I always enjoyed working with Jason in SMU courses and when he was in jazz band. My prayers are certainly with him and Kristina. What can one say about a loss at such a young age except that we don't have all the anwers...

I haven't seen Jason since I left SMU in 2001. I was surprised to see the news in one of the news letters late last year. I'm proud to say that Jason was one of my pledge brothers, and I learned allot from him.

I was stunned to hear about Jason, whom I hadn't seen since 2002, the last time I was at SMU. I didn't know he had been sick until it was too late. I remember Jason's big bright smile at all the activities (you could see him beaming as he strode across the quad), how he was involved in so many clubs, and how he always seemed to be in a good mood even when stressed out. Jason isn't really gone: we're all still sitting down in the Phi Mu room just before the weekly meeting, and at any moment he's going to come through the door, and we'll all smile and shout "RROOOOHHHRRR!!!" He was a great guy. I miss him.
