Brothers,
I trust that the Eta Nuz has found you well, judging in part from the responses we've been starting to receive. This Friday we are setting up for the 38th Blue Angel and will be conducting rehearsals all next week until the shows on the 4th and 5th. We were wondering if any of you might have some fond (or not so fond) memories or anecdotes from past Blue Angels you would be willing to share. Keep in mind this blog is a public website so keep it in the black if need be or send an email if you're not sure. Email is not a secure form of communication either but is at least password protected. We may not respond right away, but we'd love to hear from you, let alone see you at Blue Angel.

I remember this time Brandon "Magic Fingers" Mathieus totally f-ed up a guitar solo.. oh wait... that was every time.
Back in my days ('83-'86) we often still used a grand piano on the stage. It led to many dangerous close calls as we got a group of guys together to hoist it up and someone was always underneath to make sure all the legs came down properly. No reported deaths, but a few yelps.

Greetings fellow Eta Nu brothers!
Well Doc Highland tells me your still using the crest I made as a backdrop for Blue Angel. Boy I sure had fond memories of the BA concerts in 88-92. We sure rocked out the house and ADG and the rest of the frats could come close to our style. I was the chapter secretary when Mark Kenny was President and also the Cardinal Photo editor. I got lots of picts and I'll have to dig them out of mothballs. Oh, the highlights of BA, was passing around the brew when Doc was not around!
Salute!
OASAASLLS!

Gentlemen:
I am proud to be a part of the history of our chapter and to see the great pride you all take in today's active membership. Thanks for a great night last night, especially to the gang at 216NV. With a Prez named Dumballz how could you all go wrong? You were all very hospitable to Tom Whaley ('85) and me, and we were honored to take the stage after the show to attempt to relive the glory days.
You're a great close bunch of guys and we appreciated you making room for us at the party.

PS Jeff H you're still doing it - thanks for driving the chapter all these years.
I remember Dan "Chopper" Verdick and his awesome ax slaying partner Johnny "B" Gibbs. Timmy Whaley tickling the ivories and Russ S. playing bass guitar.
Seems like only yesterday, but alas, time marches on like the beat of the drum....played by the one and only Tom Whaley. I can still hear the D minor intro to "Metal Heartbeats".
Those were the best of times!
Well Gents I was not able to make BA But sure remember the weekelong setup and 3hr tear downs (always a race) Hi there Terry Stadick, Chopper, Tim/Tom Whaley, Johny G and Russ S. Hey Terry how is Doc Apple doing? Give a shout back if you guys ever get the chance.. marks@lansa.com
